Lucy is a cat that has a rare condition, making her look more like a bat than a cat. She a sphinx cat but she has very rare features. When her owner saw a photo of her on the internet, she just knew this was the cat for her because the cat was so unique looking. The cat’s condition is neurological and called hydrocephalus. It causes a build-up of fluid on the brain.
The build-up of fluid on the brain gives Lucy her bat-like looks. And because she’s a sphinx she has no hair and pointy ears, just like a bat. The vets tell Lucy’s owner that they believe it’s best to not operate on the cat to try and remove the fluid on the brain.
