A couple living in an apartment complex in California saw a stray cat that kept returning. They decided to start feeding the cat. At about the same time every day, the cat would return for more food. They fed her regularly and expected to see her every day. Then one day, the cat stopped showing up and the couple got worried. Maybe something had happened to their friend.
It was a good deal of time before the cat returned, and this time, she came with a new friend. The cat had apparently been pregnant and now was bringing her kitten along with her for some food. The couple gladly obliged and fed both of them.
