Phoenix was a cat who really wanted nothing to do with other cats. If the shelter put the cat near other cats, he would just run away. He was extremely antisocial and they were worried that he was also depressed. He had a hard time adjusting to life at the shelter and life among other animals.
But then one day the shelter got a call about three little kittens who had been born in someone’s backyard. They want and rescued the kittens. One of these kittens, named Ruby, went up to Phoenix to say hi. The shelter staff held their breath.
